Hazel Sharp

Hazel Sharp is a genre-explorative multi-instrumentalist currently studying Classical Saxophone at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, splitting her time between Glasgow and Dumfries & Galloway. She has a strong connection to Scottish folk traditions, with a particular interest in reimagining traditional tunes from D&G in contemporary contexts.

Hazel is committed to fostering a more inclusive and compassionate music industry, with experience on the RSNO & SCO Youth Assembly Boards and the ABRSM UK Youth Advisory Board. Her work is grounded in a body-aware, holistic approach to performance, shaped by her lived experience of chronic illness which informs her approach to sustainability, accessibility, and inclusive practice. 

Alongside her artistic practice, Hazel has recently begun working as a wedding celebrant, creating and leading personalised wedding blessings with a focus on storytelling, connection and shared experience.
